After i received an e-mail from Paypal regarding new order, but the order it's not appearing in the cart.




 

If you receive an email from Paypal regarding an order, it is not appearing in your cart, it is due to the way of how paypal handlesthe  transactions.

When an new order is placed using Paypal standard gateway, the customer will be send to the Paypal site to complete the order. Once the order is complete, the customer is given a "return to cart" link within Paypal website to complete the order but most of the customer will forget to click this link.

This is causing an issue as the cart doesn't know if the customer paid for the items. So the cart statuses wil be remain as "abandoned" and you will need to search by this status to find the customer's order.

Suggested Solution

Try using other payment gateway such as PayPal Payments Pro that doesn't require the customer leave your cart to make the payment.
